There are different views on the extrapolation of experimental results from laboratory animals on humans. Common effects of the effects of monosodium glutamate on humans and animals mainly described as metabolic disorders. Even a slight increase in the daily dose of monosodium glutamate has been shown to significantly increase the risk of metabolic syndrome and overweight in certain populations, regardless of diet and level of physical activity.
